Sabrina’s Reach 4 Life also created the R.O.S. E (Recognise Our Strength Everywhere) Project with an aim to “inspire, empower, and connect by giving young people a voice.” For the future to come, “Sabrina’s Reach 4 Life (SR4L) is proposing to launch a platform for young people to celebrate the sharing of stories in a variety of ways about their personal struggles/adversity/challenges and opportunity for young people to recognize others who provided meaningful support to others’ health and well-being.” As the organisation strives to help individuals to share their stories in the hopes that their voices will create a supportive environment where they are less likely to feel alone in their situations, conditions, and illnesses. This also provides a platform where people can share advice and personal stories about how they overcame their struggles, inspiring others and creating a community of strong voices which will ripple throughout society. It’s an honour to recognise the organisation’s commitment to people of all ages, whether they’re having suicidal thoughts or suffering from the loss of a close connection. Sabrina’s Reach 4 Life is truly deserving of its win in our Australian Enterprise Awards 2025 as its team strive to not only help people to survive, but to aid them in their journey towards thriving. Contact: Lidia Di Lembo Company: Sabrina’s Reach 4 Life Website: https://sabrinasreach4life.com.au/ Facebook: sabrinasReach4Life Instagram: sabrinasr4life LinkedIn: sabrinasreach4life “Instil Hope, Promote Healing and Engender Compassion.” Lidia and Michael founded Sabrina’s Reach 4 Life in 2018 to act as a lifeline for those who are struggling with their mental health, and those who have lost a loved one to suicide. The organisation was set up to honour their daughter Sabrina Josephine Di Lembo who had suddenly taken a plunge into mental illness. Sabrina was always warm, healthy, intelligent, and a very loved individual who had a lot to offer the world. She loved to spend time with family and friends and study hard to eventually succeed in becoming a lawyer, but her anxiety and depression suddenly took over in 2017 when she was preparing for her exams at the end of her second year at Charles Darwin University. In the time towards the end of Sabrina’s life, Lidia and Michael did all they could to seek help from GPs and local mental health services. However, Sabrina did not receive adequate support via medication and was given a sub therapeutic dose which inevitably contributed to the loss of her life. The stigma around mental illness, and the lack of support sweeping across every corner of the globe, means that individuals such as Sabrina are not able to make it through their difficult times. Not only do they require adequate help to survive, but their loved ones should be able to help in getting them the support they need to avoid the worst. This is exactly where Sabrina’s Reach 4 Life comes in. Not only providing the support individuals and families may need when they are facing mental health issues and suicidal thoughts, but the organisation is there for those left behind when a loved one passed from suicide. The bereavement branch of the organisation was created in 2019 in response to the limited support available across the Northern Territory, which still stands as the first of its kind in its region. Both Lidia and Michael are proud to have raised a huge amount of money for the Black Dog Institute ($100,000) through their NT Lottery and bike ride from Adelaide to Darwin, through Sabrina’s Ride 4 Life community campaign. Starting this campaign before the organisation was fully established as Sabrina’s Reach 4 Life, Michael and Lidia swiftly decided to carry on Sabrina’s legacy through every action of the organisation. In August 2017, Lidia and her husband Michael sadly and suddenly lost their daughter Sabrina Josephine Di Lembo. After their tremendous loss, they decided that they would do everything in their power to create an organisation that would prioritise people suffering from life threatening conditions and those experiencing bereavement from their life-altering loss of a loved one to suicide.
