Matt Williams & Jay Andrew, directors, tell us more about the services that the firm provides and its aims. “We have invested heavily into our candidate and client attraction model where we work closely with a marketing agency that support us with our brand, content and overall marketing strategy. This enables us to reach candidates that are not always on a job board or LinkedIn,” he begins. “Those are the candidates all recruiters want but it’s a matter of having the right processes and strategy in place to be able to do this. “We have also invested heavily into the systems we use and we are constantly looking at how we can improve to best serve our clients and the candidates we represent. These models have been designed from years of research and investment.” It is primarily this investment and focus that sets WüNDER_TALENT apart from competitors as it has systems and tools in place that other agencies simply do not have. “When you interview candidates to join your business it gives you a great insight into how your competitor works,” Matt & Jay explains. “We find it amazing from speaking with candidates just how limited some recruiters are in terms of tools and systems.” WüNDER_TALENT still uses most of the traditional methods and tools for recruitment too, such as job boards searching and LinkedIn recruiter. “These will always have their success stories,” continues Matt & Jay, “But we now work in a way where we are constantly engaging with our markets, and having candidates referred to us, which puts us in a great place when our clients reach out and have a specific requirement.” Understanding a clients’ brief is key to any successful delivery, and Matt & Jay explains that WüNDER_TALENT is geared to ensuring it understands its clients’ values and their culture to the best of its ability. The firm screens candidates on their technical ability using a bespoke questionnaire which has been specially designed and implemented to save time and to be sure that the best candidates are consistently being selected. It isn’t all about the candidates however, and Matt & Jay are quick to sing the praises of his dedicated team of recruiters who work closely to ensure they always hit the mark. “It’s all about personality, motivation and drive for us. Don’t get me wrong, previous experience in sales is great but it’s not always essential,” elaborates Matt & Jay. “Recruitment is a people business and some people forget that. If you cannot build a rapport with a candidate or client then you won’t last long in this industry! That is why we put personality as one of the key elements to our own recruitment process. “We all know the more you put in the more you get out but understanding what drives and motivates an individual in turn helps us to build an environment which they can excel in.” And something is definitely working as WüNDER_TALENT was recently named Best Digital Recruitment Company for the North West England & Recognised Specialists in SaaS & Ecommerce Recruitment in England in the 2019 Coaching and Recruitment Awards. “It’s a fantastic feeling to have won this award considering we have only been in business for 18 months,” Matt exclaims. “We have been working very hard in establishing who we are and where we fit in the market.
