Profitect : Empowering Employees and Growing Revenue with Prescriptive Analytics Established in 2012 and recently acquired by Zebra Technolo- gies, Profitect offers a prescriptive ana- lytics solution for retail and CPG organisations. The solution auto- matically analyzes data to identify opportunities for improvement in the business. It then provides a prescriptive action that is sent directly to the appropriate stake- holder, informing them how to act on the opportunity to increase margins and profits. To add ac- countability to this workflow, each prescriptive action is tracked to ensure execution. Guy begins by going into further detail about the solutions that Profitect provides to its clients, and how the team ensures that they are ready to provide support and assistance along the way. “Traditionally when trying to get a better understanding of what is happening within their business, retail and CPG companies have relied mostly on report-based data analytics. Unfortunately, this approach often leads to the creation of numerous reports that are complicated, inaccurate, irrelevant, and prone to bias by whoever reads them. As retailers and CPG organizations look for alternatives, increasingly many are turning to Profitect’s prescrip- tive analytics solution. Profitect empowers employees to make better-informed decisions by prescribing them the actions they should take, rather than sending them a report to analyze.
