Sep21695 Leading Innovators in Light-Sport Aircraft Design 2021 Having developed a modular and highly effective flight machine that is fast becoming the go- to solution for military operations, border patrol, and private hire, SkyRunner LLC has made itself a mainstay of modern flight solutions. Adventurous, flexible, and adaptive, the SkyRunner MK 3.2 was born out of the spirit of exploration, and has fast become a new and brilliant way to approach saving lives in the most difficult terrains thanks to its manoeuvrability and top-of-the- range technological elements. Soon, it looks forward to adding the advancing field of EVTOL technologies into this mix, monitoring pending FAA Rule changes that could even open up the field of Special Light Sport Category Aircraft for more commercial use. SkyRunner LLC, a privately held aircraft manufacturing company, has been making a name for itself since its inception for its continuous innovation, tenacity, and dedication towards its clients and the wider industry. Fundamentally, this company believes in making itself a front-runner for modern flight technology in order to help shape the future of aerospace travel in the long run, something that has endeared it greatly to it peers and to the market segment it wishes to serve as it designs and manufacturers exemplary MK 3.2 crafts. These outstanding examples of contemporary flight technology, in essence, have been created for the civilian and military markets; due to the resilience, reliability, and adaptable design, the MK 3.2 is suitable for all manner of clientele and job, and has thusly become a new favourite sight amongst the USA’s flight enthusiasts. In essence, the MK 3.2 is a light sports craft that was created by SkyRunner under the expert guidance of Stewart Hamel. Having earned SkyRunner S-LSA FAA certification in June of 2016, and full approval as a two-occupant aircraft in July of 2017, all completed whilst operating out of its home base in Shreveport, LA. The region proved the perfect answer to what SkyRunner needed and still need from a HQ as the city houses many of its peers and a sizable flight ecosystem from the private jet hire companies to big airports such as LAX. Moreover, SkyRunner has been continually pushing for more innovations since receiving this 2017 accreditation, and nowadays it is able to offer public use aircraft that will have the option of three seats. Today – in a trend that will not be slowing down anytime soon – SkyRunner is one of the fastest growing aircraft manufacturers in the world based on class and on category, an accolade that has helped it to gain significant notoriety in its market segment as it keeps up with developments and updates with ease and sophistication. Furthermore, the drive for adventure and excitement that fuelled the founder’s passion in starting SkyRunner is still a core element. Forging the beating heart of the business, Stewart Hamel’s love of flight and aircraft was enhanced by his desire to be able to share the world of aviation with his kids, excited to build an aircraft that would facilitate this adventurous spirit and ensure that he and his family could forge memories that would last a lifetime. However, this expanded past just a desire to provide this for his own family within short order. After Hamel read the Naval Postgraduate School Master’s Thesis that laid out the challenges faced by special operators, rescue forces, and battlefield air technicians, he began to get ideas regarding how his adventure-driven and highly mobile aircraft idea could be applied to resolve some of these problems. In essence, he saw how the MK 3.2 could provide an agile and easily manoeuvrable new craft for first responders, crisis workers, and the military, making the trickier jobs faster and easier for the operators and, effectively, saving lives. After this pivot, SkyRunner saw a boom in interest as it has become appealing to a much wider market segment, and it quickly found itself in high demand as it focused of growth and expansion to keep itself to scale with this growing customer base; this growth is what spurred on the hiring of Lieutenant Colonel Michael Jensen as SkyRunner’s CSO. Over his time in this role, this innovative and entrepreneurially minded individual has been a Keynotes speaker for several conferences, been featured in the Special Operations Aerial Mobility Vehicle Training Syllabus, and led multiple large, multifunctional organizations. Furthermore, he has secured a vast range of valuable relationships and business partnerships for SkyRunner amongst senior-level stakeholders and aviation professionals. With more than 20 years of experience in the US air force, his experience, organizational skills, management abilities, and dedication to due process has ensured that SkyRunner remains second to none. No other Utility Transport Vehicle like it currently exists on the market. This unique nature is made clear from the very moment a client lays eyes on the plane itself, and even more so when actually handling the thing. Its landing gear is smooth and highly controllable, with a rugged, custom-tuned Fox Shocks turn through terrain that allows for a smooth landing every time and an expert handling of multiple terrains. Additionally, it contains a powerful 1000cc Polaris Pro-Star engine that propels the SkyRunner planes up to 70 MPH. It even boasts a turbo-charged, fuel-injected Rotax flight motor that can lift two passenger up to 10,000 feet in the air – a limit which is less designated by the abilities of the craft, but more the altitude limited by the Federal Aviation Administration. The design of it to be ‘rough and ready’ for rugged off roading makes for outstanding performance across extreme terrains; in fact, offering comfort SkyRunner LLC, a privately held aircraft manufacturing company, has been making a name for itself since its inception for its continuous innovation, tenacity, and dedication towards its clients and the wider industry.
