After Hamel read the Naval Postgraduate School Master’s Thesis that laid out the challenges faced by special operators, rescue forces, and battlefield air technicians, he began to get ideas regarding how his adventure-driven and highly mobile aircraft idea could be applied to resolve some of these problems. In essence, he saw how the MK 3.2 could provide an agile and easily manoeuvrable new craft for first responders, crisis workers, and the military, making the trickier jobs faster and easier for the operators and, effectively, saving lives. After this pivot, SkyRunner saw a boom in interest as it has become appealing to a much wider market segment, and it quickly found itself in high demand as it focused of growth and expansion to keep itself to scale with this growing customer base; this growth is what spurred on the hiring of Lieutenant Colonel Michael Jensen as SkyRunner’s CSO. Over his time in this role, this innovative and entrepreneurially minded individual has been a Keynotes speaker for several conferences, been featured in the Special Operations Aerial Mobility Vehicle Training Syllabus, and led multiple large, multifunctional organizations. Additionally, it contains a powerful 1000cc Polaris Pro-Star engine that propels the SkyRunner planes up to 70 MPH. It even boasts a turbo-charged, fuel-injected Rotax flight motor that can lift two passenger up to 10,000 feet in the air – a limit which is less designated by the abilities of the craft, but more the altitude limited by the Federal Aviation Administration.
