Global Business Awards 2025

Corporate Vision Founded in Finland in 2005, Lunette has pursued a clear mission: to transform menstrual care by offering a product that is safe, sustainable, and inclusive. Its first menstrual cup quickly gained global recognition for combining comfort, practicality, and environmental responsibility – setting a new standard in menstrual health. Over the years, Lunette has expanded its offering to include select products in the field of intimate hygiene, designed to support everyday comfort, cleanliness, and confidence. While the product line has evolved, Lunette’s core values remain unchanged: sustainability, education, body positivity, and inclusion continue to guide every decision, from plastic-free packaging to initiatives aimed at ending menstrual poverty. “We are proud to stand with those who believe period care should be a right, not a privilege.” “Our values are not just part of our brand; they shape how we show up every day,” Aleksandra told us. “From the materials we choose to the way we speak about bodies, we make sure our actions reflect our commitment to sustainability, education, and inclusion. We do not shy away from difficult conversations – we lean into them. Period stigma and lack of access to safe products are global challenges, but we see them as powerful opportunities to educate, connect, and uplift.” Through its charity arm, The Cup Foundation, Lunette puts these principles into practice – donating one Lunette Period Cup for every cup sold. The company works directly with communities where period poverty is most severe because these programmes are not only about providing products, but also about restoring dignity, building trust, and ensuring that no one misses school, work, or general life because of their period. Each donation made is paired with inclusive training provided by the local organization on the field or in the class room, supervised by The Cup/Lunette team, as well as easy-to-follow educational materials that help individuals understand their bodies and cycles with confidence. What’s more, Lunette has contributed to groundbreaking research in recent years by providing period cups for the Astro Cup Project – an initiative led by Liga Fonseca Coelho from Cornell University, supported by an outstanding team of scientists and engineers from Técnico Lisboa. In a world-first move in October 2022, period cups supplied by Lunette were sent into space, aboard a suborbital rocket to test their performance under space conditions, including exposure to microgravity. The cups did not leak, break, or become contaminated during their journey. This was a significant milestone for space and menstrual health alike, potentially eliminating the need for the hormone suppression that many menstruating astronauts must undergo before they depart. A pioneer of menstrual care, Lunette Cups are now sold across the globe, reaching an ever-expanding community of users worldwide. Menstrual care is a part of everyday life for billions of people around the world, and yet the products and conversations surrounding it have often lagged behind. As expectations shift towards safer, more sustainable, and better-designed options, brands are responding with practical solutions that reflect the population’s real needs. Lunette is a leading menstrual care company offering reusable products that prioritise comfort, transparency, and long-term wellbeing, helping people to manage their periods with confidence and autonomy. Co-Owner and CEO, Aleksandra Oklińska shared more below, as Lunette is named in the Global Business Awards 2025. Best Menstrual Care Brand 2025 Since its inception, Lunette has served as a trailblazer in the realm of intimate care, earning a remarkable reputation for reshaping the future of menstrual health and care. Ultimately, Lunette aims to create a more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable landscape – as demonstrated by its ongoing efforts with The Cup Foundation, and its recent 2025 transition to plastic-free packaging. Named the Best Menstrual Care Brand 2025, Lunette has built a close-knit, global community through honest conversations, shared experiences, and active listening, always striving to improve and innovate its offerings in alignment with the community’s needs. Looking to the future, Lunette plans to deepen its partnerships with grassroots organisation, educators, and changemakers, with the aim of expanding access to eco-friendly period care for all. “The menstrual health space is evolving, and we are proud to be part of shaping that change,” Aleksandra announced. “At Lunette, we have long championed what many now call trends: gender-inclusive period care, zero-waste design, and body-positive representation. Our goal isn’t to follow what is trending; it is to set new standards for what ethical, inclusive, and climate-conscious intimate health can be.” Contact: Aleksandra Oklińska Company: Lunette Sp. z o.o.
