Recently the firmwere selected in Corporate Vision’s Recruitment Elite 2019. On the back of this recognition, we profiled the firmand caught up with Directors, TimRust and Tej Dhindsa who revealedmore about the innerworkings of Marlin Selection. Marlin Selection : Going The Extra Mile Founded in 2009, Marlin Selection was initially established to place candidates in to Finance and Oper- ational roles within the Financial Services sector in London. Over the last decade the firm have expanded it’s range by building a team which also covers Sales, Trading, Marketing and IT across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. During this time, the team at Marlin Selection have placed experi- enced professionals into various roles covering the whole life cycle of a trade. Tim begins by going into further detail about the areas team specialises in, as well as highlighting the ways in which they achieve success in the services they provide. “Here at Marlin Selection, each of our teams mirror the infrastructure of a Trading House that is split across Finance, Risk, Operations, Logistics, IT, Compliance, Sales, Trading and Marketing. “There are four areas that we invest in to reach our maximum potential these are: People, Technology, Relationships and Service. People are at the heart of everything that we do - from the in- dividuals we help find roles to the dedicated, experienced staff that we recruit. We are constantly look- ing at the latest technology that can improve our processes and systems, which results in us being able to provide a better overall ex- perience for the individuals we are helping. Overall, we see ourselves as a relationship driven business which allows us to be much closer to our clients to advise on and support their needs. Finally, we pride ourselves on the service that we deliver to everyone involved in the recruitment process, ensuring that all parties are valued and respected to lead to the desired outcome for all.” Whilst on the topic of the team, Marlin Selection is formed of a diverse, dedicated, talented and hard-working group of individuals who work tirelessly to ensure that the firm’s goals are achieved and clients’ expectations surpassed. When discussing the internal cul- ture, Tim is keen to showcase the significant role the team play in the overall success of the firm. “At Marlin Selection, our core values are honesty, integrity and going the extra mile. These values form the foundation of the firm. When hiring new recruits, we put a strong emphasis on having a diverse workforce, where each team member from Consultants to Directors receive a unique training programme which is reviewed every week.” Moving forward, the team at Marlin Selection hope to continue expanding not only the services they offer, but also the locations where they serve. Looking ahead to what the future holds, Tej signs off by revealing the exciting plans he envisions that lie ahead for the team at Marlin Selection, touching on the firm’s main ambitions for the upcoming years. “2019 looks set to be an exciting year as we open an office in Dubai and also explore opportunities in North America.
