Corporate Vision Issue 6
32 CORPORATE VISION / Issue 6 2018 , Alexsys “Lexy” Thompson, MLC, BCC is the creator of the Trybal Gratitude Journal, a keynote speaker, executive coach, member of the Forbes Coaches Council, adjunct facultywith CCL, and founder of Trybal Performance, LLC. Raising the Leadership Vibration to Create Thriving Cultures Built on Lexy’s passion for strong leadership and high- functioning teams, Trybal Performance’s mission is to unleash the vibe of your Tryb. Trybal helps organisations and teams in a variety of industries find what makes them awesome, then teaches them how to achieve results and bridge gaps by doing what they’re best at. Trybal does this in opposition to the popular tactic of “fix what’s broken” or “focus on weaknesses.” The big, hairy, audacious goal Lexy helps her clients achieve is to create a work environment people actually want to be a part of so they can increase efficiency, productivity, learning retention rates, and engagement. To realise this, Lexy and her team developed the Strengths- Based Ecosystem™ approach: 1. Know Thyself (focus on the individual), 2. Know Thy Team (focus on the Tryb), 3. Conversation Mechanics ® (productive communication), and 4. Trybal Leadership (build a sustainable culture). This method has proven to have impressive ROI with many clients. In one case, Trybal’s efforts resulted in 65 million in increased revenue, organisational goals exceed by 102%, and 70% less staff concerns in just one year. Because Lexy believes in meeting the client where they are, she and her team are also certified in a variety of third-party tools, including but not limited to, StrengthsFinder, Birkman, MBTI, ISEI, and the Leadership Circle Suite, to name a few. This unique depth of knowledge and resources has allowed Trybal to be nimble and innovative in a market that likes to perform the same old tricks. Perhaps the most important aspect of Lexy’s approach is her core value to leave her clients with the tools to get it done on their own, long after Trybal’s gone. At the end of the day, Lexy’s vision isn’t to stay in business forever, it’s to create workplace cultures so sustainable, healthy, and thriving, they put Trybal out of business. “The feedback Lexy provided was professional and direct and came with examples on how to improve. Lexy also displayed compassion in helping me deal with personnel issues, recognising the downstream impact on myself and other leaders. I further appreciated the maturity and experience she brought as Lexy was incredibly thorough in making sure that all of the bases were covered and that we understood which issues, real or perceived, were a priority to address. Lexy was tireless in her commitment and guidance for me, and in the future, if we should need coaching, I know exactly who we want it to be.” Michael Garcia, SVP, from Houston Methodist Hospital 1806CV18
