Corporate Vision Issue 7
CORPORATE VISION / Issue 7 2018 27 , SpringboardMarketing & Communications Limited is a creative marketing agency specialising inweb design, digital and print marketing. We gained an insight into the success of the company fromStuart Churchill. The Perfect Launch Pad to Success From its base in Surrey, Springboard offers a variety of services, as an all-in agency, the company’s work is exceptional, includes contemporary print and graphic design, digital marketing through to full marketing consultancy services. Springboard’s clients typically range from start-ups and SMEs right up to enterprise and government organisations. Adaptable and versatile, the company reaches across sectors too, serving clients in the IT, hospitality, retail, and education sectors. Stuart tells us about the methods and techniques that the team at Springboard undertake in order to ensure that the desired result is achieved, noting that collaboration and teamwork have been vital in the achievements of the company, both internally and externally. “Every project Springboard undertakes is different. From the outset, we take time to understand the client’s needs, and that includes their budget. We have a natural dislike of bureaucracy, and we don’t have strictly defined working processes. As such, we can be flexible, adaptable and provide what best suits the client’s needs, not what suits us! “Most of our projects start with a kick-off meeting, which is all about listening, learning and exploring the boundaries of the project. This gives us the best basis to move forward, whether it be for a short-term job like a brochure, a new website build or existing website makeover, or full project management across a range of marketing services. “Furthermore, we also enjoy working with other creative agencies. We recently partnered with an agency on a new website which is now exceeding £25k in sales per month, compared with just £1K for the entire previous year.” Adopting a personal approach to its work, the team at Springboard work hard to guarantee that when a client works with Springboard, they deal with the same personnel from inception to completion of the project, and this is something that Stuart is keen to highlight. “With Springboard, what you see is what you get. Or, more to the point, the person you first meet is the person that manages your project from start to finish! We believe in honesty and integrity. We don’t hide behind jargon, we don’t have a slick sales team, and we’re both realistic and transparent about time scales. Ultimately, we strive to become a trusted advisor to each and every client.” Interestingly, the boutique set-up at Springboard allows the team to be extremely fast and flexible. Staff are highly experienced and have the capability and capacity for urgent jobs, and 1806CV39 more importantly, the mindset. Internally, urgent just means faster than most of the team would prefer, not inferior or rushed. Operating throughout the marketing sector, Springboard has many attributes which differentiate it from its rivals, and Stuart describes the core competencies which have contributed to the agency’s accomplishments. “One of our strengths is that we are an experienced and integrated agency. The quality and breadth of knowledge we have, both technical and creative, reflects in everything we do. Our websites work seamlessly, our graphics catch the eye, our marketing strategies boost brand awareness and ultimately boost sales.” With technology playing an increasingly dominant role in the marketing industry at present, Stuart emphasises the importance of Springboard being able to be at the forefront of any developments which may arise. “The rate of digital change ensures that there’s always something new, and tempting on the horizon. Part of our job is to ensure that our clients are aware of the way those advances and changes will affect their business. Our aim is always to keep abreast of new developments and distil them down into tangible business benefits to offer clients.” In his concluding comments. Stuart advises that despite advances in technology, a good website is still crucial to any business. “One of the biggest changes for any business is search. For example, voice-activated home devices offer information beyond the search engine, and as such businesses need to tailor the information they put online as a result. A business website is still the core source of information, but it needs to ‘feed’ new technologies with the information they require, from map info for local search to micro-markup for voice search results.” Ultimately, the team at Springboard always welcome the opportunity to break new ground. Stuart and his team invite any CV magazine readers to contact them with their next project, their website vision, and their evolving business dreams. If we can help, we will. That’s what makes our role in creating stunning websites, exceptional print and dynamic digital marketing so interesting and engaging!
