Recently, we profiledBelgradeNikola Tesla Airport aswe took a closer look at their developments over the years. Soaring High Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport is a gateway to Serbia and the Balkans, as well as being ideally located at the crossroads between East and West. The airport is named after the famous Serbian scientist, Nikola Tesla. It has two terminals and has a total capacity of 7.5 million passengers per annum. Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport is a joint-stock company managing the airport in Belgrade, Serbia as well as providing airport and aviation services. Today, the offer from Belgrade as a hub includes 33 carriers operating flights to 95 destinations in 37 countries, across four continents with scheduled long-haul flights to Beijing and New York, as well as additional long-haul flights. Considering the remarkable traffic increase and excellent Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport JSC business results in the past four years, the investment amounted more than EUR51 million. In 2017, the company invested EUR21.8 million for the airport development and infrastructure upgrades, in order to increase their shareholders experience and comfort. Also, they have invested in creating new and reorganising existing infrastructural capacities, which caused the improvement of passenger comfort and experience in exceptional short- term period with minimum costs. Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport is regularly conducting surveys in order to analyse our passenger experience and is doing its best to meet stakeholders demands to increase its attractiveness. In the past year, passenger comfort was improved by refurbishing and installing new check-in areas, as well as having additional kiosks for better passenger flow and experience. These developments established new enriched relax areas in both land and airside, while the complete travel experience was improved by introducing new shopping possibilities. Additionally, Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport is committed to continuous improvement of the air traffic safety, quality and level of service for all stakeholders. They invest a lot of time and effort in systematic modernisation, following the business ethics and social responsibility in both technical and financial terms. According to the ACI Airport Industry Connectivity Report 2017 1806CV29 Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport has second highest hub connectivity in Southeast Europe. Lastly, they are constantly exploring new opportunities, by introducing new routes within Euro-Mediterranean region, and strengthening the existing regional routes in cooperation with all interested parties, therefore their goal is to become Southeast Europe long-haul gateway for North America, China and Australia.
