Following the company’s success in achieving the ‘Best RevenueManagement Systems Provider – UK’ accolade, we invited co-founder, Richard Nicholas to turn the spotlight on their work around consumer goods commercial planning. The Exceedra solution is focused on the needs of consumer goods companies to help them improve margin through optimisation of promotions and develop enhanced pricing strategies (revenue management). Additionally, it supports full integration of the financial and supply chain planning processes. The solution is designed to support both large and small organisations. Exceedra has an excellent and growing customer base globally including: ACH Foods, Bayer Consumer Health, Birds Eye, McKee, Organix, Perrigo, Pladis, Taylors of Harrogate, Tyrrells Crisps and Weetabix. All of them have all seen significant benefit through using Exceedra Promotional Planning and Insight Solutions, enabling more meaningful, accurate discussions with their retailers supported by fact-based analytics. Exceedra are delighted to receive the Technology Innovator Awards 2017- Best Revenue Management Systems Provider - UK. This award recognises the focus and investment that Exceedra have made around this ‘on- trend’ topic, following the success of the inaugural ‘Consumer Goods Revenue Management Forum’ in June 2016. With over 80 attendees and speakers from; pladis UK, Vimto, Kerry Foods, Hain Daniels, Simon-Kucher and Strategy &, the forum provided a day dedicated to discussing the role price and promotion play in driving profitable growth. The feedback we received was extremely positive, with delegates describing the event as “a very enjoyable day with thought provoking content and great presentations.” Topics discussed on the day included: • How revenue management and trade promotion management techniques and solutions have improved gross margins; • The challenges of implementing revenue management and solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiency; • How leading companies are tackling the commercial challenges through better revenue management and; • The importance of revenue management to true integrated business planning. Exceedra has a history of working with consumer goods companies dating back to 1986. In 2010, a new management team was established and focused the company on Revenue Management and Integrated Business Planning for consumer goods companies. The management invested in developing a new SaaS Platform and expanded the service and support team to be more focused on business value creation. Key focus areas for business improvement by our Clients and prospects are • Improving margins from Trade and Revenue Management Capability. Improve – 1 to 5% • Improving forecast accuracy – 2 to 20% • Improving Visibility of and confidence in the forecast and the assumptions behind the numbers.
