In accordance with pandemic restrictions Manchester Fertility was forced to close temporarily. Through various channels of patient communication, Manchester Fertility were able to continue to provide their patients with support and expertise. From video and telephone calls, to online channels such as their website and social media, the clinic ensured patients were able to access advice and continue to support their patients. As well as making every effort to provide patients with advice and support, Manchester Fertility were constantly preparing for the resumption of treatments. By sticking to strict processes, the clinic managed to ready themselves enough to be one of the first clinics in the UK to open again. Opening hours were extended so that appointments could be distanced apart, new procedures involving the pre-appointment assessment of patients’ health were introduced and the already thorough cleaning regime was made even more robust.
