With three online platforms of their own and a very loyal consumer base on Amazon and Groupon today, Dipesh tells us the secrets behind his success. “I was young when I started to crave success. I remember my Mother telling me when I was growing up, that if I worked really hard, one day I would be able to afford a coloured television in my home. We were a poor family, not as well off as some of my friends. Now, my goal is to not only have the most up to date technology in my own home but to also ensure that every family can afford the electronics they desire the most.” Even now, The Ruro Group is still a company based on family values. Dipesh’s wife Jitna, his brother-in-law and his sister-in-law work alongside him at their head office near the city center. “It is vital to surround yourself with an excellent team. Each of my staff members works tirelessly and they all see the company as their own, they are really involved with each customer and their experience.” “When we make our hiring choices, we seek certain traits, and deliberately pick empathetic and proactive people. Each customer service representative understands that we are trusting them with running a small part of the business, even if they only speak to one customer that day, they have the power to build a relationship with that customer and our brand.” Today, Dipesh sells products from huge brands. Products from Apple, Samsung, Sony and LG hold prominent positions on RLR Distribution, the biggest of Dipesh’s websites. The Ruro Group also has professional relationships with high street names like Lidl and Richer Sounds, and as such has a bright future ahead, as Dipesh proudly concludes. “Currently, we are in the process of setting up manufacturing facilities for our own brands in the UK. We already have exclusive rights to distribute brands like AKAI, Master, and T4Tec, but manufacturing is the next logical step for us.”
