Since its inception in 2001, Acklam Car Centre have successfully delivered over 17,000 cars. Owned by two brothers, both with prior experience in the motor trade and vast experience in retail and business with ventures throughout the UK, the firm has flourished over the years. Still under the same ownership, Acklam Car Centre has become a real success story, improving year on year in all facets of the business. The ethos from the very start of the process, is to provide the customer with the best experience of buying and selling a car. Today, thanks to this client focused approach the firm is the largest independent dealership in the North East of England having gone from selling low value stock to supplying next to new, low mileage, specialist and a vast range of 4x4 vehicles. Currently, the firm is averaging between 95-110 cars per month at approximately £31,000 average selling price, including its record-breaking Lamborghini Aventador sale, with the video for this watched over 100,000 times and liked more than 1000 times on LinkedIn. Around six years ago the team recognised that the business needed to change, as Middlesbrough was not an area in which disposable income was even present. As such, the company invested heavily into its online presence, taking on board expensive Auto Trader packages and attending all the workshops and webinars to maximise each individual car appeal through correct pricing, attention grabbers, key words, specification, number of photos and hand-written descriptions. The company also invested money into a state-of-the-art website at the time from an award-winning company which saw Acklam Car Centre establish itself in the online motor trade marketplace suddenly dealing with potential customers across the whole of the UK. Throughout the past six years, the company has been refining its processes, perfecting angles of photos, and building relationships with local main dealerships for underwriting part exchanges, among many other developments, all of which have helped drive Acklam Car Centre to even greater success.
