Salix Finance (Salix) is an independent, not-for-profit, Government funded organisation working towards the UK Government climate change targets to reduce carbon emissions.  The Salix funding model delivers interest-free finance to the public sector across England, Scotland and Wales, to increase energy efficiency and lower energy costs. Salix is funded by and works in partnership with the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the Department for Education (DfE), the Welsh Government and the Scottish Government and provides funding to public sector organisations, including the NHS, local authorities, schools, academies, colleges, universities and emergency services, to reduce their carbon emissions and lower energy bills.
