Catherine was director of HR at an organisation where she experienced an incredibly toxic work environment, witnessing first-hand the cost of toxic behaviour on individuals, and the impact of that on organisations. For the last 15 years, she has dedicated herself to building a community of individuals who can thrive in the workplace in response. From humble beginnings, Civility Partners has grown from her apartment to a team which has had international impact on how people work and live. When we caught up with Catherine, she was keen to point out how versatile the service offered by Civility Partners was. “We have worked with universities, healthcare organizations, hotels, manufacturing centers and many other industries to provide tangible tools for sustainable culture change,” she says. “Our services include personalized assessments, custom training, coaching, strategic culture change consulting, and fractional HR services. Ultimately, we collaborate with organizations to provide custom services that fit best with their needs.” Working closely with organisations to deliver systemic solutions to negative workplace behaviour is what sets Civility Partners apart from the competition. “We don’t focus on corrective actions involving eradication of problems and negativity,” Catherine tells us. “Rather, we focus on finding solutions that create a safe and civil workplace – and there’s a difference.
