Corporate Excellence 2019

CORPORATE VISION / Global Excellence 2019 135 , 12 CORPORATE VISION / Issue 6 2019 May19594 Royal Crown is a private non-life insurance company, active in Cyprus for more than forty years. Following their success on CV’s Corporate Excellence Awards 2019 where they were selected as 2019’s Best Non-Life Insurance Company – Cyprus, we profile the firmand caught up with Anthie Zachariadouwho provided us with a detailed behind-the-scenes glimpse into the innerworkings of the company. Gaining Confidence and Trust Initially as agents of Royal & Sun Alliance, and since 1999 as a purely Cypriot company, Royal Crown provide a wide variety of insurance products in the property and casualty lines. Since their inception, Royal Crown has pro- vided a complete range of non-life insurance services, its flagships products being the original and authentic “Combined” Policies for Businesses and for Residences, as Anthie begins to explain. “The Combined Policies are the most comprehensive composite products in the market and include any risk to which occupiers of premises, businesspeople or homeowners may be exposed to, with an option to pick and choose applicable covers and individual- ised policy configuration. “At Royal Crown, we are closely observing new insurance trends. Apart from the “classics”, such as motor, home, business, marine, liability policies among others, new contemporary insurance needs have developed, some compulsory by law, regulations or professional associations’ internal guidelines, others because of a sense of responsibility or vigilance on the part of professionals and businesspeople.” Being a small company has its benefits, as the Royal Crown team are able to ensure that they provide adequate care to each individual client and handle their responsibilities towards them as per their expectations, and more. Many of the clients that the team serve are individuals, homeowners and entrepreneurs who wish to protect their property, or are con- cerned about liabilities to others, or simply wish to comply with legis- lation or regulations. Whilst on the topic of the clients the firm serves, Anthie informs us of the approach the team takes to ensure that they meet the requirements which have been set by their clients. “Here at Royal Crown, we apply strict underwriting guidelines and assess all risks carefully before undertaking them. As such, we approach clients via our interme- diary network all over the country, and also do some promotion and advertising.” Enabling the firm to deliver these impeccable services, is the experienced, hard-working and dedicated team which forms the backbone of Royal Crown. When discussing the internal culture, Anthie is keen to highlight the significant role the team play in the overall success of the firm. “Our staff are the backbone of our company, as we have many peo- ple who have been working with us since the start of their career and have grown and developed with us. They are truly dedicat- ed, educated and experienced persons who can be trusted to provide the best possible service to our clients. “Overall, we are quite an informal firm, and there is total communica- tion and understanding between all working here, flexibility in most of our actions, from working hours to activities undertaken. We are very lucky and grateful for our staff.” Looking ahead to what the future holds, the team at Riyal Crown will continue to implement correct pricing practices which are deter- mined on the basis of scientific criteria, as developed throughout the years within the industry, and aims to substantially assess any risk undertaken. Bringing the interview to a close, Anthie wishes the firm will continue this successful practice, as well as revealing the exciting plans which lie in the pipeline for Royal Crown. “The main goal for 2019 is to fully comply with the Insurance Distribution Directive, which has imposed new requirements and criteria regarding pre-contractual information for transparency pur- poses, as well as fresh obligations for continuing education and professional development for all insurance professionals that are in contact with consumers. “Ultimately, the team has been working hard and is fully pre- pared to welcome this brand new challenge, our associates and staff having already completed their first couple of CPD seminars.” Contact: Anthie Zachariadou Address: Mnasiadou 16-20, Nicosia, 1065, Cyprus Telephone: 357 2288 5555 Web Address: www.royalcrowninsurance.eu
