We caught up with Benedikt Brueckle who gave us a detailed glimpse into the innerworkings of the award-winning firm. Delivering Innovative Products Since their incep- tion, CompuGroup Medical have been supporting medical care providers in supplying the best treatment in a cost-efficient manner. Medical and administrative data is provid- ed when and where it is needed, and with their broad customer base and years of market expe- rience, the team at CompuGroup Medical are the driving force for more cooperation and efficient treatment. Going into further detail about the firm, Benedikt begins by providing us with an overview of the services Comp- uGroup Medical offers and the clients that they serve. “Here at CompuGroup Medical, all of our products and systems are directed at a single goal: en- abling everyone to have access to their health data, anytime and anywhere - helping facilitate the best possible medical treatment. Our company develops, sells and services Electronic Medical Records, Revenue Cycle Man- agement Services, and Practice Management Software. “Many of the individuals we serve are medical professionals in practices and clinics, as well as hospitals. Also, we serve laboratories and approach them through direct sales or through word of mouth and trade fairs.” Supporting the firm in delivering their award-winning services is the dedicated, talented team which forms the backbone of the firm. When discussing the internal culture, Benedikt is keen to highlight the significant role the passionate team play in the overall success of the company. “At CompuGroup Medical, our staff is by far our most important asset. Being a software company in a such highly specialized area as healthcare IT, the knowledge of our employees is an indispen- sable asset of our company.” Bringing the interview to a close, Benedikt touches on one of the main challenges which not only the team at CompuGroup Med- ical are facing but one which is affecting the whole industry. “The current challenge of the whole industry is data security. As more and more data becomes available, it is our foremost duty to protect it. For this reason, we developed several unique algo- rithm and security architecture that is patented and ensures the security and integrity of the data we host.” Looking ahead to what the future holds, Benedikt signs off by revealing the exciting plans which lie in the pipeline for the firm, especially following their CEO’s recent success in Corporate Vision’s Corporate Excellence Awards 2019 as the Most Influential CEO of the Year 2019 – eHealth. “In 2019, we are going to expand our product portfolio by releasing our new next gen- eration EHR-Software ‘CGM MEDISTAR’. This will be a cloud SAAS-Solution that medical professionals can use with any device from anywhere.
