Corporate Vision Most Innovative Higher Education Institution 2025 – Ontario Innovative education and research for a digital world, that’s the core vision of the University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF). In a time of constant technological change and global challenges, the traditional approach to higher education just isn’t enough. UNF was built to be different and that’s what sets its students apart. As a model for a modern, relevant, forward-looking university, UNF is built on three fundamental core principles: digital mindset, scholarship of teaching and learning, and work-integrated learning. The university, located in downtown Niagara Falls, prepares graduates for leadership in a digital world. That starts with the development of a digital mindset, a combination of a growth mindset and digital fluency. This approach makes UNF graduates adaptable and resilient, ready for the modern workplace. This digital focus is an underlying theme of UNF’s academic programs, designed by integrating evidence-based disciplinary teaching and learning research, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. No matter the program they’re studying, each student will learn and become competent in areas such as artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality. “Many people think digital to be the future, but digital is really the NOW and so we want to ensure our students are ready and prepared for that,” says David Gray, President and Vice-Chancellor at UNF. Academic programs were designed to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving economy and the demands of business and industry. Developed with industry input, programs are aligned with the labour needs in Canada, and beyond. “We know that our students will have good career prospects once they’ve graduated and they will be well-prepared for the demands of the modern workplace,” says Gray. At the undergraduate level, there are two honours degree programs providing students with specialized coursework in areas that address current skills gaps in the industry. The Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences gives students a deeper understanding of the human body. The Pre-Med Pathway offers a head start on their career in medicine, allowing students to start their degree at UNF and finish their studies at one of two partner medical schools, Saba University School of Medicine and Medical University of the Americas. Emerging technologies, new world finances, consumer social evolution, and the digital transformation of business and industry provide the framework for UNF’s Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree program. Students immerse themselves in real-world case studies and have the choice of two majors: digital economy or digital marketing. David Gray President and Vice-Chancellor

Education and Training Awards 2025 | 5 Prospective students looking to upgrade their education currently have three graduate degree programs to choose from at UNF. The global media landscape is in a constant state of flux and effective communication is needed now more than ever. The Master of Arts in Digital Media and Global Communications program dives into this evolving world, with a focus on neuromarketing, virtual reality, and the impact of artificial intelligence. Through a capstone project, graduates will build a digital portfolio that demonstrates their skills and personal brand. The Master of Data Analytics program prepares graduates to be big data professionals who can grow in this high-demand career. With three learning tracks to choose from, there is an opportunity to gain deeper problem-solving experience and specialize in a particular area of interest: marketing analytics, operations analytics, or general analytics. An optional advanced analytics component provides the opportunity to gain real-world experience with industry partners. Responding to Canada’s needs for entrepreneurship and technology-enabled innovation, the Master of Management program provides graduates with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to become entrepreneurs or to drive digital transformation within existing organizations. In 2026, three additional graduate programs will be offered. The Master of Arts in Applied Social Psychology launches online in January 2026, followed by an on-campus intake in the Fall. It will empower graduates to design and manage interventions that enhance workplace dynamics, user experience, and community wellbeing in an increasingly digital economy. The remaining two programs will welcome students in September 2026. The Master of Computer Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence aims to address the demand for deep, specialized AI skills in Canada and bridge existing skills gaps by blending advanced technical training with industry-relevant experience. While the Master of Health Care will give its graduates the expertise in health care leadership and management that will be essential to drive muchneeded transformative improvements in Canada’s health care system. All three programs are 18 months in length and were designed in response to pressing workforce needs across sectors in Canada. Applications for these innovative and much-needed programs are now open. Flexibility is the key, offering online and on-campus delivery so students can learn at times that are convenient to them, in ways that work for them as well. Operating on a year-round term system, UNF offers multiple entry points for students and more opportunities for working and work-integrated learning. “We want to remove barriers to education and give our students the opportunity, empowering them to make choices about their learning,” says Gray. Rather revolutionary in a post-secondary setting, UNF operates as a textbook-free institution. Its fully digital library offers students online access to scholarly journals, articles, videos, books, and more at no cost to them. The digital nature means they can access it from anywhere, further eliminating barriers to their learning. Part of Global University Systems, an extensive network of higher education institutions committed to addressing the world’s most pressing challenges, UNF has excellence embedded into its DNA. With experienced and dedicated faculty, students get the opportunity to learn from experts in their field. UNF has adopted the flipped classroom model, which sees students prepare for class in advance so when they come to class, they spend valuable time with their professor debating, discussing, and asking questions to truly learn about the topic. Through internships with industry-leading partners, and a variety of capstone projects, students can gain experience before graduating and have a positive impact while preparing to be a global citizen. As a proud member of the Niagara community, UNF is deeply invested in driving positive regional transformation. By partnering with local industries, community organizations, and municipal leaders, the university contributes to economic growth and social innovation. “UNF has a spark. You can feel it when you meet the students and talk to the faculty and staff. You can see it in the projects they’re working on and the partnerships they’re building in the city. It’s exciting to know that innovation is happening right here in our own neighbourhood,” says Mayor Jim Diodati of the City of Niagara Falls. This commitment not only enhances the vibrancy of Niagara Falls’ downtown area but also enriches the student experience. UNF connects learners with meaningful opportunities, real-world challenges, and a strong sense of purpose in the place they call home. Its downtown campus features spaces for study and collaboration and was designed specifically to accommodate its distinctive programs, ensuring the tools and resources students need to advance their studies, and eventually their career, are at their fingertips. Corporate Vision passion, experience, and a genuine commitment to the growth and development of every person, team, or company it trains. Thanks to this, Unlock Engine plays a pivotal role in the global mentoring and training space, with the customised programmes it offers for new leaders, purpose-driven and mindfulness workshops for teams, keynote presentations, and its individual and group mentoring sessions, all being at the cutting edge of the industry and attentive to its changing needs. This is where the aforementioned E.L.I.A.S. – Engagement, Leadership, Inspiration, Attitude, and Sustained Results – Leadership Model really comes into play. Committed to helping people become the best possible versions of themselves, the passion Unlock Engine has for its work is reflected through a set of core values rooted in this pioneering approach to the trials and tribulations of leadership. Built on six key behavioural pillars designed to nurture inspirational leaders – those who lead with trust, passion, purpose, effective communication, integrity and genuine human interest – this model has been embodied by the organisation itself, which helps others to apply it and reap the benefits. Carlos explained this framework he created in further detail: “When applied effectively, these pillars drive behavioural change, enabling leaders to inspire others, trigger self-motivation, and cultivate the right mindset for achieving their full potential. This is why we strongly believe that inspiration is the most powerful tool a leader can possess.” E.L.I.A.S. is much more than just this overview, and more information about Carlos’ model can be found in his book: ‘The Legacy: A Story of Leadership’. As well as his proprietary framework, this engaging read brings together a number of proven leadership concepts, teaching discerning leaders how they can inspire those around them and create high-performance teams. The book is told from the point of view of an executive, who recounts leadership challenges in both his company and a soccer team locker room. Using these experiences, the book – which is available worldwide on Amazon, along with its Spanish-language edition, ‘El Legado Una Historia de Liderazgo’ – presents some of the key issues of leadership in a way that is practical and easy to apply, all whilst still being entertaining. Carlos believes that aspiring leaders as well as new and seasoned leaders alike can benefit from reading it and come to understand more about inspirational leadership and how it can guide both business strategy and employee performance. With the strengths of the E.L.I.A.S. Leadership Model to boot, Unlock Engine is at the heart of the leadership development arena, the dynamics of which are currently being reshaped by digital transformation. Carlos told us: “Businesses are realising that success in core activities such as innovation, strategy, and execution depends heavily on leaders who can unlock the maximum potential of their teams. He continued: “Building a sustainable organisation requires strong leaders capable of navigating the complexity and fast pace.” “Leadership development is essential for organisations of every size to thrive in this environment. That’s why we adapt to each context, often tailoring our programmes to meet the specific needs of individuals and organisations alike.” As touched on above, despite being a small organisation, Unlock Engine’s ability to adapt its solutions to teams and businesses of any size has seen it apply the same principles to its own operation. Beginning with a clear purpose, the organisation’s culture reflects the passion the team has to help people be Most Innovative Leadership Development Organization 2025 – Americas & Corporate Culture Transformation Champions of the Year 2025 Unlock Engine is a catalyst for potential, with the organisation’s ability to help teams, leaders, and entire organisations alike, hit new heights being on display through its impactful training, dynamic workshops, personalised mentoring, and insightful counselling. Corporate Vision Best Education & Training School 2025 – UK Access to further education remains a vital pathway for personal and professional growth, especially for learners navigating complex life circumstances. Bay Education Centre provides flexible, accredited programmes designed to support students from all backgrounds, helping them progress towards university degrees and meaningful careers through tailored teaching and longterm guidance. We spoke with Director Latifa Mohamed for more information, as Bay Education Centre is named in the Education and Training Awards 2025. Since 2019, Bay Education Centre has been on a mission to provide high quality, flexible education that empowers students to achieve their academic and career goals. Placing an emphasis on small class sizes, tailored support, and industry-relevant courses, the establishment has built a reputation for excellence in the field of further education. Through these endeavours, Bay Education Centre strives to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive, with the vision of becoming a leading provider of further education that is recognised for its lucrative programmes, progression routes, and unwavering dedication to student success. Bay Education Centre offers teaching related courses that serve as a pathway to Higher Education for students who may otherwise have never thought it possible to achieve this. Its provision is particularly focused on supporting learners who may never have previously considered university-level study as a realistic option, offering them accessible, high-level programmes that are flexible, affordable, and highly supported. In fact, many students have testified that their journey towards achieving a degree began with Bay Education Centre. The establishment offers flexible payment plans that have been a significant factor in allowing students to successfully complete their studies without worries, even through difficult times. Bay Education Centre understands that circumstances can change unexpectedly at any time and aims to be considerate and supportive in its student interactions. Students hailing from many different backgrounds have studied with Bay Education Centre and continue to recommend the establishment to their family and friends, a clear indicator of the organisation’s success in delivering supportive and empowering education. “We listen to our students and offer solutions wherever possible,” Latifa told us. “Whether students are in full-time work, are parents, or have special needs, we have worked with them to progress in their studies without hinderance, whether the issue was financial or time-management related. We have also managed to get a partnership with a university that means students can progress quickly into their top-up programme with this progression pathway.” The education landscape is continually evolving, and the changing requirements and progression routes to Higher Education have had a significant impact on students’ journeys into their chosen education and career paths. Bay Education Centre has had to continuously adapt to meet expectations and ensure that its operations run smoothly. Alongside this, the organisation must also navigate the lack of funding and support for students in England, noting that many students are struggling and in need of ways to fund their education without impacting their livelihood. “I have had many conversations with students where they have simply not been able to pay an instalment in time or at all, because it would be a choice of paying for their course or having food on the table for their children,” Latifa shared. “Part of what makes this course lucrative to students is that it provides a shortcut route to attaining a degree where they can avoid having to take out a loan, which is against many of my students’ beliefs due to the interest involved. This leaves them with no choice but to self-fund, with not enough bursaries, scholarships, or help out there.” In response to these ongoing challenges, Bay Education Centre continues to refine its approach, ensuring that quality, flexibility, and compassion remain central to its offering. Staff are carefully selected and regularly trained, with oversight from an Internal Quality Assurer to maintain consistent standards across all programmes. This internal culture of accountability and care ensures that students receive the support they need, regardless of circumstance. Looking ahead, the organisation plans to introduce a bespoke course shaped by student feedback, designed to address gaps in current provision. There are also ambitions to partner with teaching agencies to help graduates secure placements both in the UK and abroad. These future-facing initiatives reflect Bay Education Centre’s commitment to not only guiding its students through their studies but supporting their long-term success beyond the classroom – a commitment that makes Bay Education Centre truly deserving of its recognition as the UK’s Best Education and Training School 2025. Education and Training Awards 2025 | 9 Could you give us a brief overview of Career Advisors Geneva, and the specific role it plays within the education and training space? Passionate about human behaviours and neuroscience research, we design training & coaching programs that provide managers and their teams with practical, actionable tools for their daily work, aimed at boosting organizational performance in a more sustainable manner. Our Mission: Help teams and Managers work better, perform better, live better. Our SUSTAINABLE Teams’ Performance Program offers managers a complete range of practical tools to help them better manage their teams throughout the employee life cycle. Each module of the program has a specific theme, but the overall Strategic Objectives are: • Engaging the team around shared values to ensure social & emotional security • Raising managers’ awareness of the impact of their leadership style on performance • Encourage behaviors that increase team commitment and performance • Enhancing creativity and innovation • Promote transfer into practice through ready-to-use tools and personalized micro-actions plan What led you to build this program? I have worked for many years as an external career reorientation coach for Swiss Invalidity Insurance and I have supported many people who went through health issues amongst which exhaustion or, worse, burnout. In most cases, difficult relationships in the workplace were the seed that led to exhaustion Indeed, tense human relations cost a lot of time and energy, take a lot of room in our thoughts and keep us awake at night, creating even more stress and fatigue. Neurobiology shows that higher levels of stress prevent our brain from functioning properly, decreasing our cognitive capacity and our ability to perform. It’s a vicious cycle. Alongside, I have been working with team managers for more than 20 years. Some feel powerless, exhausted and can’t see how to act upon their non-sustainable environment. During my studies for the Master’s in Human Management, everything became clear: difficult human relations are one important performance killer. It’s not an opinion, it’s research-based evidence that positive human relations correlate with higher business performance. That’s why our mantra is: Take good care of human relations, performance will follow! In a sea of constant change, every company should offer its leaders a set of best practices covering areas like leadership, team management, and performance. Not only will this ensure consistency with its values and strategy, but it will help teams to work and perform better. Career Advisors Geneva makes all of this possible through its Sustainable Team Performance Program, something that Carla Pereira, the company founder, told us more about when we caught up with her. Best Sustainable Team Performance Training Specialist 2025 – Europe What differentiates your program and adds value for your clients? Studies have demonstrated that people can learn through behavioral centered training and coaching. As a certified practitioner in Neurocognitive and Behavioural Approach, I combined everything I have learned through my experience and studies to create a practical toolbox that helps people implementing micro-actions that improve relationships, increase engagement and performance in a more sustainable manner. That’s why they call me “Mrs Toolbox”! I have incredible feedback from participants saying how this changed their approach to leadership and sustainably impacted performance. Just as an example: one of my clients had two department directors having tense relationships and were not collaborating well. After the 1st training, they understood what the problem was and worked it out through their respective action plans. After a few weeks, their relationship improved and now they want to move on the same floor to facilitate their collaboration. The fact that these 2 teams now fully work together will increase company performance and benefits. This and many other success stories, lead me to say that appropriate training and coaching is never a cost, it’s an investment with a high, fast return. As she continues to down this path of learning and development – continuing to train herself as she trains others – Carla is working on an upcoming project that will see her develop new tools, some powered by AI, to further increase the positive impact she brings. It is this level of dedication and a 100% recommendation rate from her participants, that led us to recognize Career Advisors Geneva as the Best Sustainable Team Performance Training Specialist 2025 – Europe. Corporate Vision Australia’s education sector is undergoing rapid transformation as digital learning, AI integration, and future skills development become priorities. While there has been growing recognition of the importance of edtech, the sector still faces challenges in ensuring equitable access to resources, bridging the gap between rural and remote areas, and providing time and support for teacher upskilling. Teachers are faced with increasing workloads, so their professional development must be efficient, relevant, and easy to implement. These shifts have created a rising demand for ongoing guidance to ensure that these emerging tools are used ethically and effectively. Rising to meet this demand, Evolve EdTech is a leading provider of innovative educational technology training and resources for educators across Australia and beyond. Since its inception, the company has been on a mission to empower teachers to confidently incorporate digital tools into their classrooms to create meaningful, engaging, and future-focused learning experiences. That is the real impact, and it is what drives our success.” SHIFT continues to grow, and so too does the complexity of the world it serves. Recent legal developments have heightened the need for legally sound, culturally responsive training. At the same time, many companies are moving away from static programmes in favour of flexible, story-driven content that reflects today’s workplace challenges and meets the needs of diverse teams. These shifts have been driven by the growing recognition that training must now do more than fulfil a requirement, and providers who can deliver on that – by combining legal rigor with human impact – are setting a new standard in the space. “The compliance training space is evolving quickly, and SHIFT is evolving with it,” Katherin announced. “We have always believed that legal compliance is just the baseline. In this modern landscape, organisations are seeking training that goes beyond awareness and learning that is credible, adaptive, and capable of driving real behaviour change. SHIFT HR Compliance Training is leading this revolution, delivering interactive, engaging, and effective online training solutions to Fortune 500 companies in the healthcare, retail, financial, and technology sectors. We spoke with Katherin Nukk-Freeman, Co-Founder and President of SHIFT HR Compliance Training, a winner in the Education and Training Awards 2025. “Built for compliance. Designed for change.” The story of SHIFT HR Compliance Training began with two women who believed the workplace could, and should, be better. Founders Katherin Nukk-Freeman and Suzanne Cerra met as law school roommates before going on to build successful careers as employment attorneys and hiring partners. But they continued to observe the same troubling pattern: talented professionals, especially women, were leaving their jobs not because of ability but because toxic or inflexible work environments made it impossible to thrive. This conviction shaped their careers – and ultimately SHIFT itself. As the only workplace training company founded by employment lawyers, SHIFT was born out of deep legal experience and a personal mission to create lasting workplace transformation. After establishing their own law firm, NukkFreeman & Cerra, P.C., the founders saw firsthand the need for training that was legally sound and culturally impactful. That demand, and their belief that compliance without culture change wasn’t enough, led to the launch of SHIFT HR Compliance Training in 2014. Born from real client challenges, SHIFT’s flagship course, Preventing Workplace Harassment and Discrimination, soon grew into a robust library grounded in legal integrity, behavioural science, and storytelling. “SHIFT isn’t just a training provider,” said Katherin. “We are part of a larger movement to make the workplace safer, more inclusive, and more sustainable for everyone. That purpose continues to guide everything we do, from how we support our clients to how we innovate for the future. Our vision is simple but powerful: to transform compliance training into a force for good by driving culture change, preventing harm, and building workplaces where people can truly thrive.” Today, SHIFT delivers award-winning, interactive online courses that transform how teams communicate, collaborate, and perform. The company stands apart in the market for its ability to merge legal-grade compliance with emotionally intelligent learning. While most training vendors focus on meeting mandates and checking the regulatory box, SHIFT goes beyond that with courses that are built by employment law attorneys and industry experts and designed to spark real behavioural change through storytelling, empathy, and relatable scenarios. Even as the workplace has evolved, SHIFT has remained steadfast in its belief that empathy, inclusion, and legal integrity are not separate priorities; rather, the foundation of any truly successful organisation. Since day one, these principles have shaped every aspect of SHIFT’s work, from how it collaborates with clients to how it crafts learning experiences. Another guiding value is purposeful customisation: SHIFT delivers flexible, culturally attuned
