Corporate Vision and experiential education. It is a commitment that distinguishes the university in Ontario, and across Canada. At UNF, the gap between classroom and career is by design a narrow one. Work-integrated learning is woven into the architecture of every programme. Students are expected to engage with real problems, real partners, and real consequences long before they cross the convocation stage. “We want our students to graduate with more than a credential”, said David Gray, President and Vice-Chancellor at UNF. “We want them to graduate with a track record.” That philosophy manifests most clearly in UNF’s capstone research projects, which serve as the culminating experience across many of its graduate programmes. Whether in digital media and global communications, data analytics, or management, students develop substantive, industry-facing projects that demonstrate the full scope of their skills. Earlier this spring, UNF launched a digital radio station powered by students. Embedded in the Master of Arts in Digital Media and Global Communications programme, UNF Radio places students at the centre of every decision. It is experiential learning at its most authentic, with every broadcast a deliverable and every show serving as a portfolio piece for students. The opportunity to work alongside partner organisations provides Master of Data analytics (MDA) students experience on live datasets and active business challenges, giving them the kind of applied experience that accelerates careers and builds the professional networks that matter. Employers benefit too. Digital trust software platform Neotrust set out to address a crucial business problem with a team of MDA students: what can be done with the data collected through its platform and what insights can the company learn from it? Students collected the data from various aspects of the business and funnelled it into an easy-to-use dashboard for senior leadership. According to Corey Lanzing, Neotrust’s COO, one immediate tangible difference was Neotrust now being able to use data to identify trends and better understand user behaviour, seasonal behaviour, and market preferences. The students used data visualisation to help turn raw data points into more of a conversation, he said, allowing Neotrust to talk about these insights clearly and in a more engaging way. Most Innovative Higher Education Institution 2026 – Ontario Learning that Works: University of Niagara Falls Canada Earns Top Honours Again The University of Niagara Falls Canada is unique in the world of higher education, with its degrees offering a digital edge thanks to career-focused programmes led by expert staff. Students can feel the difference studying in an learning environment that has been purposefully designed for their success, and with the benefit of Niagara Falls on their doorstep, this is a university built on the innovation that flows through its veins. Below, Melinda Cheevers, the university’s communications and public relations specialist, told us what sets the University of Niagara Falls Canada apart. For the second consecutive year, the University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) has been recognised as Ontario’s Most Innovative Higher Education Institution, and this time, the distinction arrives alongside a milestone that makes it all the more meaningful. In the spring of 2026, UNF celebrated its very first convocation, sending its inaugural graduating class out into the world. These graduates are entering their careers having already done the work, gained the experience, and built the portfolios to prove it. The world needs digital leaders, and UNF is helping to build them through its foundational commitment to work-integrated learning Learning that works: University of Niagara Falls Canada earns top honours David Gray is our President and Vice-Chancellor

Education and Training Awards 2026 | 5 “It really does increase the valuation of a business when you can translate this mountain of data into usable knowledge”, said Caesar Medel, Neotrust’s CEO. “We now have a translatable asset on our hand that is producing over and over, and we only had (these students) for three months. I can’t wait to get into a position to hire one or two of them back because they were just amazing.” UNF’s growing programme offerings continue to expand the scope of experiential learning available to students. Alongside its established Honours Bachelor of Business Administration and Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, the university has introduced the Honours Bachelor of Science in Bioveterinary Science programme. Responding to the growing demand for professionals at the intersection of animal health, biomedical research, and public health, this programme integrates applied learning throughout and offers students an accelerated journey to becoming a veterinarian through a pre-vet pathway. Industry partnerships ensure students have ample opportunity to learn outside the classroom throughout their time at UNF as well. This was the case for students like Ghazal Mohavedi, from the Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences programme. Last summer, she participated in the Summer Student Research Scholarship programme through the Niagara Health Knowledge Institute. Through her placement, she applied the national Hospital Harm Indicator to Niagara Health data to identify preventable harm events, such as infections, medications, medication errors, and fails. “I’ve learned how much can be uncovered from hospital data and how important it is that it’s documented and coded properly”, said Ghazal. “This experience has shown me how research can directly support safer patient care.” Reflecting on her work, she said her courses at UNF prepared her well for the placement experience and gave her a solid foundation to work from. Looking ahead, UNF is expanding its commitment to addressing the world’s most pressing challenges with three new, sustainabilityfocused graduate programmes set to launch in 2027. The Master of Regenerative Sustainability, Master of Sustainability Systems, and Master of Water and Food programmes were designed in direct response to urgent workforce and societal needs, and each will carry the hallmarks of the UNF model: industry engagement, digital approach, and learning that connects students to the issues matter most. These additions reflect UNF’s role as an educational institution invested in shaping a more resilient future. Given its location in the Niagara region, a landscape designed by one of the world’s most significant freshwater systems, programmes in water and food security carry a particular resonance. In 2024, the university declared its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Accord, joining more than 360 higher learning institutions around the globe to address a range of economic, social, and environmental challenges. UNF’s downtown Niagara Falls campus continues to serve as a hub of collaboration between students, faculty, local industry, and municipal partners. That connectivity is a form of experiential learning, allowing students to engage with the community around them and tackle regional challenges while developing a global perspective. Through its partnership with the Niagara Falls Innovation Hub (NFIH), students have access to its cutting-edge resources including a prototyping lab and content creation studio, as well as expert coaching that can help those with entrepreneurial aspirations build successful, scalable businesses. The NFIH connects business owners with UNF’s skilled graduate students to support real business needs, giving students hands-on experience. These partnerships helped UNF’s first graduating class enter the working world with real skills, real experience, and real readiness for what comes next. For the classes that follow, the university is continuing to build the programmes, partnerships, and pathways to ensure the same outcome, year after year. Innovation flows here. It always has. Corporate Vision The result is more than highly rated training. Participants leave better prepared to live, lead, collaborate and build trust across cultures, creating measurable value for their organizations. This is reflected in the significant strides crossculture academy has made since its inception, its efforts spanning 150 countries and 20 languages with a 99% customer satisfaction rate. crossculture academy supports its services with an ongoing pursuit of excellence, instilled within every member of the team. “We love professional development, which is why we don’t just sell it; we regularly attend professional development, to keep challenging ourselves and improving how we work,” said Steffen. “In addition, we launch projects to sharpen the impact of our training and e-Learning courses and further improve the customer experience. We keep evolving, not because we have to, but because we are passionate about what we do and believe strongly in the value it brings both to individuals and organisations.” This can also be said for crossculture academy’s approach to product development; upon identifying an underserved need in the market, the team moves to create something that fulfills it. Most recently, the team observed that, while it provides books and training for expat children, there was nothing available to support teenagers in international transitions. When families move abroad, it is fundamental that everyone receives adequate preparation and care. So, crossculture academy developed In Transit – A Journal for Teens Moving Abroad. The project reflects the academy’s belief that successful international assignments involve not only employees, but all the people who share the journey with them. Looking ahead, crossculture academy remains committed to helping organizations build the capabilities needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected and yet polarised world. By continuously expanding its expertise, digital learning portfolio and global trainer network, the academy is shaping the future of intercultural competence—one successful collaboration at a time. Such endeavours promise to strengthen crossculture academy’s global impact, reinforcing the organisation’s position as Europe’s Best Intercultural Training Provider 2026. Contact: Steffen Henkel Company: crossculture academy GmbH Web Address: www.crossculture-academy.com Best Intercultural Training Provider 2026 – Europe Stronger Together on the Global Stage As the world becomes increasingly globalised and interconnected, cross-cultural competence isn’t a nice-to-have anymore — it’s a baseline requirement for success. For over twenty years, crossculture academy has supported individuals on their journey abroad, providing tailored intercultural training, coaching and digital learning solutions that help people and organizations improve international performance. We heard more from Chief Executive Officer Steffen Henkel below, as crossculture academy is named in the Education and Training Awards 2026. When international collaboration matters, organisations turn to crossculture academy. Based in Stuttgart, Germany, the academy specialises exclusively on intercultural success, designing solutions that help organisations prepare employees for international assignments, strengthen global leadership and build high-performing international teams through training, coaching, e-learning and consulting services. As businesses, higher education, and service providers become increasingly globalised and interconnected, crossculture academy finds itself at the centre of this development. The organisation serves clients from around the world, comprising individuals preparing for international work, organisations seeking to enhance their global teams’ communication and collaboration capabilities, expatriates looking to navigate cultural transitions and the global leaders driving it all. At its heart, everyone at crossculture academy believes that cultural differences are not barriers to overcome, but opportunities to create stronger teams, better leadership and more successful organizations. The academy offers pre-assignment training for expatriates; training programmes encompassing global leadership, cooperation across cultures, intercultural team development, and more; and an extensive library of e-Learning courses that cover a wide range of topics, from the basics of intercultural communication to specific country trainings. The team at crossculture academy is deeply interculturally experienced, but what really unites them is a genuine passion for helping people succeed across cultures and a shared belief that this work leads to better business decisions, more effective collaboration and richer human connections and personal satisfaction beyond work. Backed by a carefully curated global network of more than 500 trainers, coaches and facilitators, crossculture academy is able to match every client with the expert best suited to their culture, industry and objectives. Selecting the right expert for each situation is one of crossculture academy’s outstanding strengths, thanks to TrainerNavi, a proprietary quality assurance and trainer matching system. TrainerNavi allows the crossculture team to choose the best trainer for every request, focusing not just on country experience but also on past work experience, languages, location – limiting travel where possible for environmental consideration – as well as chemistry, selecting trainers it thinks will fit well with the organisational culture of each client and giving clients confidence that every project is led by the right expert, not simply an available trainer. Education and Training Awards 2026 | 7 Training in health and education is not just about transmitting knowledge. The real challenge lies in preparing future professionals to intervene in real-world contexts, make informed decisions, and respond to increasingly complex realities. That is the idea on which the Raimon Gaja Institute has built its academic proposal. Specialising in postgraduate training in psychology, neuropsychology, education, and speech therapy, the Raimon Gaja Institute (iRG) has established itself as an institution focused on the practical application of knowledge. Its model combines teaching, research, clinical practice, and international collaboration with a clear objective: that students not only learn content but can also apply it to their professional practice from the very beginning. The institution stems from the academic and professional legacy of Raimon Gaja, its founder and director, whose more than 40 years of experience in applied psychology and postgraduate training has shaped the project’s identity. Building on this foundation, iRG has developed a training programme designed to meet the current needs of professionals who require ongoing professional development, specialisation, and growth, without interrupting their work. Its programme is structured around official master’s degrees and master’s programmes in flexible formats, offering dual European qualifications and a methodology focused on real-world case studies. This practical orientation is one of the institute’s defining characteristics: learning is not conceived as an accumulation of theory, but as a process of professional training. The student works with cases, intervention contexts, and situations related to clinical, educational, and healthcare practice. In this way, the training becomes a tool for developing judgment, confidence, and responsiveness to the challenges that arise in daily practice. Also noteworthy is its academic structure, organised into four endowed chairs, each headed by a leading professional in their respective fields: Dr Joan Deus in psychology, Dr Javier Tirapu in neuropsychology, Dr Ismael Fuentes in speech therapy, and Dr Fermín Carrillo in education. This organisation ensures that each discipline has specialised leadership aligned with the most demanding challenges in the sector. The teaching staff also occupy a central place in the proposal. The institution defines it as “the heart of the institute.” It is made up of more than 200 specialised professionals with clinical, academic, research, and teaching experience, all of whom are linked to realworld intervention contexts. Another distinguishing feature of iRG is its international dimension. With students and faculty in more than 20 countries, especially in Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, and other territories in Latin America and Europe, the institute serves as an academic bridge between the two continents. This international community connects diverse professional realities and enriches the educational experience from a global perspective. In an increasingly saturated postgraduate training market, where many institutions compete with similar offerings, the Raimon Gaja Institute has found its distinguishing feature in professional practice. Its identity is built on flexible, international, and case-oriented training – a model that explains its growth and its recent recognition as the Best Postgraduate Psychology Training Institute 2026. Written By Raimon Gaja Best Postgraduate Psychology Training Institute 2026 In a context where more and more professionals are looking for flexible, online, and international training, iRG responds to this need with two study modalities designed to facilitate access without sacrificing academic quality or support. The HomeClass® and online modalities allow its students to study from different countries, combine training with professional activity, and access an experience adapted to the new dynamics of digital learning. But the institute’s commitment goes beyond flexibility. Its philosophy places the student at the heart of the learning process, promotes collaborative work, respects individual differences, and understands education as a tool for professional, personal, and social development. In this sense, the degree is important, but it is not the only value: the essential thing is that students graduate better prepared to participate, make decisions, and build a solid professional identity, and have a positive impact on the environment in which they work. Looking ahead, the Raimon Gaja Institute is focused on expansion based on three clear lines: broadening its academic offerings, strengthening international partnerships, and consolidating new training modalities adapted to the needs of students and professionals from Spain, Latin America, and other international contexts. This combination of experience, international focus, and a commitment to applied training has led to the Raimon Gaja Institute being recognised as the Best Postgraduate Training Institute in Psychology 2026 at the eighth edition of the Education and Training Awards. This recognition highlights not only the institution’s academic rigor but also its ability to respond to the evolving needs of mental health, education, and clinical intervention professionals in an increasingly demanding environment. More on this postgraduate training can be found at the link below. Contact: Raimon Gaja Company: Raimon Gaja Institute Web Address: institutoraimongaja.com

The educational tours of the farm are open to the general public, tourists, and schools, with people of all ages able to stop by and learn what it takes for a farmer to put food on the table. Tours cover the whole process from paddock to plate, and spend lots of time talking about everything from planting and harvesting to fuel and fertiliser, with the legal and financial sides of the industry also touched on. These are things that nobody ever really thinks about as they buy their food from the shops, and the aim across these farm tours is to encourage people of all ages (especially the younger generations) to get involved in Australia’s agriculture industry. Oh Deere Farm Stay’s signature guided tours combine education with entertainment, featuring a traditional cane cutters’ morning tea, an engaging presentation on modern farming practices, and a behind-the-scenes look at life on a working farm. Guests also explore the ‘Love Shack’, Australia’s only replica John Deere museum of its kind, which showcases a remarkable collection celebrating the history and innovation of one of the world’s most recognised agricultural brands. Karinda believes this to be single largest collection of personal John Deere memorabilia in the Southern Hemisphere, and it includes everything from replica farm machinery to John Deere Monopoly, dinner sets, pocket watches, dartboards, and other items visitors will not see anywhere else in Australia. With its collection being built up over the last 30 years in a small property in the heart of its sugar cane fields, this one-of-a-kind personal museum attracts interested people from far and wide, and it is truly worth a visit, even for those not attending a farm tour. All of this reflects the diversity that awaits at Oh Deere Farm Stay, and for travellers seeking an even shorter experience, its afternoon tour offers an engaging introduction to sugar cane farming, complemented by afternoon tea and then a visit to the museum. Learning on a farm offers experiences that cannot be taught in the classroom, and provides the kind of hands-on look at farming that most people will never receive. As the only ones in Australia to offer both sugar farm tours and a farm education, the team behind Oh Deere Farm Stay and Tours provide a unique agricultural education experience, leading to the company’s recognition in this programme. Driven by more than four decades of industry experience and a highly skilled team of experts, the company provides a comprehensive suite of solutions that enhance maritime operations, safety, and sustainability. It offers a comprehensive educational service that covers all elements of the training process, encompassing task analysis, program and curriculum design, development of training materials and assessment tools, and delivery of training using active discovery training techniques. “At JCJ Consulting, our goal has never been simply to ‘deliver training’,” said Jillian. “Our goal is to help shape the future capability of the maritime profession by connecting international best practices with practical operational experience.” Australia boasts a well-established, highly regarded vocational education and training (VET) system, including nationally recognised training packages. Organisations such as Industry Skills Australia and Jobs and Skills Councils play a key role in ensuring that training packages remain aligned with current and emerging workforce needs. This system provides a structured framework that supports consistency, quality assurance, and portability of qualifications across the country. The training that JCJ Consulting provides, however, is unique in that it focuses on international standards in the maritime industry, which are identified through model courses from the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and the International Organisation of Marine Aids to Navigation (IALA). It serves learners from around the world, who require accessible training that meets rigorous regulatory standards and maintains assessment integrity. Every project is an opportunity for us to learn as well, and that spirit of continuous improvement is something we hope never to lose.” Contact: Jillian Carson-Jackson Company: JCJ Consulting Web Address: www.jcjconsulting.net JCJ Consulting

Education and Training Awards 2026 | 11 Working across three English counties, Lincolnshire-based Elite Sport Academy is a professional coaching company supporting partner primary schools through its delivery of curricular and extracurricular sports clubs. It also regularly runs accessible sports clubs for the local community, from holiday clubs to elite-level football coaching. Each of these sporting provisions is delivered by Andrew and this team, all of whom hold professional status with the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport & Activity (CIMPSA). This leads to high-quality sessions in their own right, but it also sees the team work closely with the teaching staff at primary schools to ensure children receive continuous professional development when it comes to their education in sport. Because Andrew believes the role of his team is to deliver high-level teaching/coaching and sports opportunities to the next generation, he has partnered with local councils and Active Lincolnshire in recent years, allowing him to reach as many young people as possible. This has resulted in safe environments for children during school holidays through the holiday activities and food (HAF) programme, as well as summer swim sessions to help children learn to swim. The latter is vital, given Lincolnshire’s many lakes and rivers. One of the provisions that Elite Sport Academy is the most proud of is its private football academy, which is led by a team of coaches with a background in elite football. Designed to bridge the gap between grassroots football and professional academies, participants can enjoy sessions delivered by UEFA-qualified coaches, as well as regular showcase fixtures, and even a European tour programme. Sport is something that can bring children together, as well as keeping them active and healthy. This makes it a fundamental part of primary education, both during school hours and outside of them. Recognising the importance of these opportunities for every child, Elite Sport Academy Limited sees Andrew Tidswell and his team of professional coaches give youngsters the best possible chance in sport. We caught up with Andrew following his second consecutive win in our Education and Training Awards. Best Primary Sports Educators 2026 – England Another immense source of pride for Andrew is the relationship he has built with the team behind the M2 (Where Movement and Mindfulness Meet) programme. Andrew explained: “Research shows that, from KS2, young girls tend to start to drop out of physical activity for a variety of reasons. Partnering with M2, we are trying to change those statistics. Having already enrolled in many programmes in Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire, the feedback we have received has been overwhelming.” Every day, as Elite Sport Academy looks to change the way young people look at and access sport, it is guided by the same values of unity, progression, and humility, three guiding principles that have served it well for almost 15 years. Although these values remain unchanged, one thing that certainly has not is the team, which has grown massively to encompass a variety of knowledge and experience across a whole host of sports and education settings. “We have many coaches working with us now who had been coached by us in their primary and youth years”, Andrew told us. “We are also inundated with requests for work experience, which again are all former children who have been coached by the team.” This means a great deal to Andrew, and speaks volumes of the impact that the company and its team have in the lives of the young people they serve. These individuals have made Elite Sport Academy a trusted name across Lincolinshire and the surrounding counties, one that is passionate about making a difference to its local community. Since Lincolnshire is the UK’s second largest county by area, it is no surprise that there are many isolated parts, making it difficult for children to access sports clubs. Unfortunately, the county is also above average for obesity in young people, making the company’s work both inside and outside of schools critical. On the back of this, the future remains bright for Andrew and the team, with plans in place to explore more avenues with partners to bolster their impact and reach more young people throughout the region. Specialist sessions and mentoring programmes are also close to being finalised, allowing every child who participates in a club run by Elite Sport Academy to not only enjoy sport, but also to build the confidence and skills that will serve them well as they progress through school and beyond. Corporate Vision Providing internationally recognised training courses alongside the leading global organisations it calls partners, including the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG), Plexus is based in Turin, Italy, but operates worldwide. The company was born in the 1990s, when AIAG and the Big Three automobile manufacturers at the time (General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler) developed a need for a partner capable of supporting their needs concerning system and operating tools. Today, nearly three decades later, Plexus Management Systems is an AIAG-certified training provider and delivers Plexus International’s training programme all over Europe. Training can be delivered either on site at a client’s premises (when there is a minimum of six participants), or all courses can be completed via web platforms such as Zoom. For customers with more specific needs, tailored training options can are also available to meet their specific automation and aerospace training needs. Plexus remains deeply rooted to the automotive industry where it began, and its work in this space encompasses training activities and the implementation of both the IATF 16949 standard and its application tools, as defined by AIAG. The courses it delivers here have been developed by Plexus International with collaboration from AIAG, which continues to represent American car manufacturers. As a result, these training programmes, which include CQI Special Process Assessments, are validated by AIAG and recognised worldwide. Alongside this presence, Plexus has since made its knowledge and professional skills available in other sectors as well, developing training courses for first-, second-, and third-party auditors for the aerospace sector. All of its aerospace training courses have been developed according to 9100, 9110, and 9120 standards, with courses related to the relevant application tools again on offer. Antonio added: “The AS 9100 AATT training programme is recognised by the IAQG and was adapted for the Italian Most automotive and aerospace training providers offer only generic ISO 9001 or AS9100 courses, which are based exclusively on theoretical knowledge and lack any practical integration with regulatory frameworks. Plexus Management Systems Srl is different, as its courses are uniquely designed to integrate aerospace quality standards with regulatory requirements. This means its students do not simply learn the standard, they are instead taught it in the context of where they will work. Antonino Ciancio, the company’s ‘responsabile’, told us more. Best Automotive & Aerospace Industry Training Provider 2026 aerospace sector.” However, when it comes to Plexus’ aerospace training, this is not all. The man at the helm explained: “Plexus Management Systems has also developed a more comprehensive and detailed training programme on quality issues, specifically tailored to the aerospace sector, to provide companies with targeted training.” Across both of its key focus areas, what really sets the company apart is its ability to design these effective training programmes and quickly deliver them anywhere in the world. This capability, combined with the fact that it can provide local experts on any topic relating to automative and aerospace concerns, means that Plexus has, for more than 25 years, been more than just a training provider. “We don’t teach standards in isolation. We teach them in the context of the regulatory environment where our students actually work.” Because the trainers who teach these courses have real-world industry experience, they can provide the kind of practical insights lost on theoretical trainers. The team here also have recognised qualifications and industry-specific certifications, but they are much more than just pieces of paper. Because even the most prolific expert is a bad teacher if they cannot communicate well, every trainer at Plexus has an aptitude for teaching, the ability to tailor their training, and a passion for quality. On the back of the unrivalled level of quality training its stands for in these sectors, Antonio excitedly told us that just one of Plexus’ upcoming proposals has seen it sign a memorandum of understanding with Turkey’s aerospace cluster to develop a specific training programme for the supplier chain. This will involve bringing classes up to date on all the new standards that have recently been published across this space, such as IATF 16949 and IA 9100. Ultimately, for close to three decades, Plexus Management Systems Srl has combined an innovative training model with its ability to adapt to the training needs of the customer, becoming a point of reference for automotive and aerospace companies in search of high-level support across their training activities in the process. Following this, it is more than fitting of being named Best Automotive & Aerospace Industry Training Provider 2026. More on its automotive and aerospace courses can be found at the web address below. Small Business Awards 2023 | 13 Education and Training Awards 2026 | 13 of the training programme, both the teacher and their school obtain a Digipedia licence. With Holisun, clients benefit from a comprehensive support partner. Holisun’s engineers, who designed and shipped Digipedia, are the same people the partner institution reaches out to when seeking support. The company considers this continuity to be the single biggest reason its partner institutions receive fast, accurate help when it matters. Vlad added, “It is also the answer we give every time someone asks how a team of our size, based in Baia Mare, delivers work at this scale.” Beyond Digipedia, Holisun maintains a steady pipeline of work with universities and public bodies across the country, including enrolment and student-record systems, regulatory assistants, and internationalisation tools. “People who join us figure out pretty quickly that we are not chasing the next consumer-app growth hack,” said Vlad. “We are building tools that universities, hospitals, and ministries will rely on for years.” Moving forward, Holisun will spend the next two years turning Digipedia from a regional success into something that other Romanian universities, and eventually universities across Europe, can rely upon. In Romania, the team is currently preparing a software-as-a-service version of the platform that other higher education institutions can deploy without embarking on a full procurement project from scratch each time. At the same time, its team is actively operating outside of Romania by bidding for public tenders in the European Union for Moodle-based and AI-integrated learning platforms. Because of the body of work it has built together with the West University of Timisoara, Holisun possesses the references and credibility to compete for that work. Looking to the future, Vlad concluded, “None of this is a hard reset of who Holisun is. It is the same thing Oliviu set out to do in 2001, scaled up by the credibility we have earned in the meantime.” Contact: Vlad Petcu Company: Holisun Web Address: www.holisun.com Holisun’s flagship offering is Digipedia, an e-learning platform developed for the West University of Timisoara and funded under Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Through the platform, teachers can put together personalised quizzes and homework aligned with their own course materials, draft personalised learning paths for individual pupils, and draw on a library of more than 3,000 reusable digital learning resources. What sets Digipedia apart in the market is that it pairs a fully featured Moodle environment with an AI assistant that lives inside the platform itself, rather than being bolted on. The assistant has permissioned access to course materials and pupil progress, which enables it to perform functions that a bolt-on chatbot cannot: generating assessments that match the teacher’s syllabus, explaining a concept at the pupil’s actual level, and refusing to wander outside the teacher’s validated knowledge base. “That last point matters more than people realise,” Vlad told us. “Misinformation and accidental plagiarism were the main reasons teachers in our partner schools mistrusted generalpurpose AI; we built the platform specifically to remove that distrust.” Where many leading education technology platforms launch in English and translate later, Holisun deliberately remained Romanian in design, for Romanian curricula. This decision has opened the Digipedia platform to thousands of teachers in counties such as Caras-Severin, Gorj, and Mehedinti, where teaching resources of this calibre have rarely been within reach. “The point of Digipedia was never market share; the point was making a measurable difference in how Romanian children are taught.” – Vlad Petcu, Senior Consultant, Holisun Today, Digipedia is trusted by approximately 6,000 inservice teachers located across seven counties in western and south-western Romania. These teachers undergo a training programme that wraps around the platform, totalling 90 hours and accredited by the Romanian Ministry of Education through 2028, as well as being aligned with the European DigCompEdu framework. Following completion Founded by Oliviu Matei in 2001, Holisun is a Romanian software company operating out of Baia Mare. The company primarily develops custom enterprise software for institutions that carry critical public responsibilities, among them universities, hospitals, and public administration. With more than two decades of applied research and development behind it, the company has been recognised in the Education and Training Awards as Romania’s Best Education Software Innovation Company 2026.
