Jun20246 Encouraging Education Young people and adults alike can constantly improve their skills and abilities through ongoing personal and professional development and training, or learn new skills entirely and open up a world of possibilities and potential. As part of the Education and Training Awards 2020 from Corporate Vision Magazine, we seek to highlight those firms that aid people on this journey, and Transferable Skills Training (TST) is one such firm. Crowned the Best Vocational Training Provider 2020 - South West England, we take a closer look at TST to find out more about what it offers to its clients. Established back in 2006, Transferable Skills Training has grown to become one of the finest education and training centres in the South West of England to specialise in teaching vocational skills to both young people and adults alike. Upon its establishment fifteen years ago, the centre was focused on working primarily with young people who have fallen outside of mainstream education or training. The mainstream environments had cast these individuals aside, but TST was not content to give up on them. Boasting a flexible and individual approach to helping each and every person that comes through its doors, TST has put all of its efforts into re-engaging these young people and adults, helping them to gain vocational qualifications and the ability to progress into further training, education, or employment. Where needed, the learners that are part of TST are given full support with all aspects of their personal and social development alongside their educational programme that has been carefully and meticulously designed to meet their needs. Educational development is something that is different for every person. What works for one individual may not work for another, and vice versa. It is important to understand this, and find ways of educating that are personal to the individual and can make the subject matter interesting and engaging for them. Vocational, social, and intellectual skills are all equally important, and TST works tirelessly to help young people and adults develop those in a safe and caring environment. It does this by offering bespoke and individualized educational packages to secondary school learners who may be struggling in the mainstream school environment. These packages include a variety of resources that are designed to meet a variety of needs, and any one of the packages may include core qualifications, functional skills, work experience, or soft skills such as emotional resilience, self-esteem, and clear communication. What is imperative to remember is that each package is somewhat tailored to the student receiving it because of their individuality when it comes to learning. Everyone learns differently, and TST strives to make that work in its favour for both itself and its students. Since its inception and to this today, TST has put great stock in the belief that students who are engaged and interested in what they are doing will naturally learn and achieve. Every course designed and delivered by TST places a great emphasis on practical learning, and on engaging students where they are at to help them get to a better place. Whether through work experience or functional skills experimentation, students can enrich their lives in more ways than one by choosing to be a part of what TST is doing. Earning success from Corporate Vision Magazine is one thing, but the results speak for themselves: more than ninety percent of students have managed to pass their qualifications in the last three years. For an education and training centre, there can be few better results than that. Company: Transferable Skills Training Contact: Nikki Markham Website: https://www.transferableskillstraining.com/
