CORPORATE VISION / Issue 5 2019 17 Imagining the Opportunities and Realising Them Alongside accumulating an impressive portfolio of work, the firm have also built a strong client base, featuring a diverse range of business. When detailing the type of clients the firm serves, Karthik informs us of the common trend amongst Rage’s clients. “Overall, the largest part of our revenue comes from the financial sector, since they are among the largest users of digital services. Other major functional sectors from where our clients come from include hospitality and tourism, as well as consumer products and start-up entrepreneurs. “In addition to this, a common trend across our clients is that they are committed to the digital space since they use both the Internet and Web. As such, they fully understand that while going digital requires lesser investments than doing things traditionally, it is not cheap or free. Accordingly, they are committed to making the required investments regardless of their size.” Enabling the firm to deliver these award-winning solutions and services, is the innovative, experi- enced and dedicated team which forms the backbone of Rage. When discussing the internal culture, Karthik is keen to highlight the significant role the team plays in the overall success of the firm. “At Rage, our team plays a vital role in our success because without their understanding of the culture regarding our offerings to clients, their work would be me- chanical and siloed. Even though the progress of work is sequential from function-to-function, we have cross-functional teams to ensure that all parts of the chain have full understanding of the activity. “Secondly, as always, good work produces more work. Which is why, to ensure client retention, our work has to be good, which will be harder if the staff do not step up to contribute.” Looking ahead to what the future has in store, the team at Rage will continue to deliver an exceptional service to their clients, building on the numerous accomplishments they have achieved over the years, which includes being selected in Corporate Vision’s Corporate Excellence Awards 2019 where they were rightly awarded the title Leading Digital Transformation & Marketing Specialists 2019. Bring- ing the interview to a close, Karthik signs off by revealing the exciting plans which lie in the pipeline for the team at Rage, touching on their mission to further expand their presence. “The digital world is in a constant state of flux. Over the years, we have grown to where we are by keeping abreast with the changing technologies. We believe we are now a size where we can start playing a role in influencing the change itself. As such, we are working in areas where we can deploy the exciting opportunities afforded by Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Cloud Computing. Our presence is largely in Asia/ Pacific, where we have worked with global multi-nationals. Moving forward, we would like to work with them in Europe and Americas too and over the next 18 - 24 months, we will be seeking to expand our offerings in these markets. Lastly, cross market media planning and buying is a third area we are exploring.” Contact: Karthik Kumar Address: 97 Santhome High Road, Chennai, 600 028, India Telephone: +91 98842 72028 Email:
