We speak to Managing Director, Michael Knowles, about the firm and its ethos. ROAR stands for Real Opportunities, Actual Results, and this approach lies at the heart of the business, only creating campaigns that drive genuine opportunity and actual results for its clients. ROAR works with a variety of customers from local SMEs to some of the biggest brands in the UK and Europe. “Unlike many agencies, we don’t hide behind jargon or fluffy reports,” explains Michael Knowles, Managing Director of ROAR. “Instead, we work with and educate our clients, helping them to understand the metrics that matter; this makes for more informed discussions and a more productive, constructive and transparent business relationship.” This is just one of ROAR’s USPs, which help differentiate it from competitors in this highly competitive industry. Unlike some of its competition, it removes all bias in its approach, instead taking essential information from their clients (tone, message etc…) and developing campaigns around data insights and analytics. This approach frequently enables it to unearth new avenues and opportunities for clients by removing any possible conscious or unconscious bias from the research, persona development, messaging and targeting. As with most businesses operating in the digital space, ROAR must keep its finger on the pulse, hence why ROAR’s entire team, from directors to executives, all attend regular training updates from both Google and their HubSpot partnership reps, and also by attending only the best global training events in each field. “By staying ahead of the curve with regular training updates, our entire team can talk knowledgeably and confidently to our clients and help shape campaigns with real bite!” Speaking of the team, Michael strives to encourage a culture of creative freedom – the freedom for staff to be great at what they do, rather than being restricted and afraid to explore new ideas and approaches.
