We speak to company owner, Manfred Hanus, about the company and the work that it does. Manfred Hanus started ClipsToGo in 1996, although the name and ‘working field’ has changed over the years. Initially, Manfred produced footage such as travel guides on DVD. Today, he films lots of corporate things, including big events and for Austrian and international TV stations. ClipsToGo provides all kind of services in the film, TV and media industry. “Of course, we are not able to provide that all on our own,” says Manfred, explaining his collaboration with others. “However we are networking with other companies in the business, so we can fulfil nearly all requests and meet the conditions our customers need.” Working with small teams, or even just a camera, means Manfred can easily get to regional and international locations and be on the scene quickly in order to capture events as they unfold. This flexible approach is just one of the many unique selling points that ClipsToGo has and which help differentiate the firm from competitors. “We also always try to be on top with our equipment,” Manfred elaborates on his USPs. “What we don’t have in terms of technology ourselves is rented from partner companies. This always guarantees the customer the best technology. With good editorial training, we also try to offer the customer added value that other production companies may not have.” When choosing a partner company to work with, it is essential for Manfred to find colleagues who act on the same wavelength.
