Bold, Education, Skills, and Treatment - BEST- is a membership-based community designed to assist in the personal development of individuals with ADHD. While for some, childhood symptoms persist to adulthood, many people find that their symptoms of ADHD become prominent and impairing in adulthood. In 2017, the Adult ADHD Centre was established by Dr. Gurdeep Parhar and Dr. Anita Parhar, for the purpose of offering the opportunity for anyone interested in learning about current research findings and practice guidelines, best practices, and local and national resources that assist adults and families living with ADHD. The Centre also provides affordable, accessible assessments and treatment plans to help those suspecting they may have ADHD or those who are looking for better management of symptoms. Additionally, the Centre supports people with ADHD access programs such as the federal Disability Tax Credit. Now a well-established medical centre positioned at the forefront of adult ADHD care in Canada, the Adult ADHD Centre sets itself apart through the expertise of Medical Director Dr. Gurdeep Parhar, who has spent the last three decades working with individuals who have physical, psychological, and cognitive disabilities. The most recent research endeavour, published in Volume 27, Issue 7 of the Journal of Attention Disorders in 2023, examined the real-world efficacy and safety of two pharmacologic ADHD treatments.
