The importance of good collaboration in oil and gas projects and operations has been recognised for some time and many operator companies have invested in Real-time Operations Centres (RTOCs). The problem with these is high cost, long lead times and the complexity of making layout changes. To address this, Geologix Systems Integration has developed the virtual Real-time Operations Centre (vRTOC), based on 3D immersive visualisation.
